DD paid by bank

Hi, I have tried to search for this, but had no luck!
Can I reclaim bank charges when the bank has actually paid my direct debit when there weren't sufficient funds and then slapped on a £25 fee?
Over the last 15 days while I was on holiday, I have had 3 £25 fees because the bank had paid things that didn't have the funds - without contacting me at all. Also I'm told I'll be charged £5 a day for each day I was over the overdraft limit.
In total about £200 in 2 weeks!!
Are these charges I can claim back????

    Yes is the answer.

  • I went in to see my bank today and they said that I should follow their internal complaints procedure first.
Would you recommend this? Does this have the same resolve?
