Amazon & Sales Ranks

Hello.
I've put a bit of stuff on Amazon just recently & mainly aimed at rare stuff that goes for a premium.
However, some of this gear has been stuck on there for ages & I'm considering ebaying instead (I use ebay quite a bit for other stuff) just to get some return on my initial outlays. Though I know that I wont bring in as much as I would if the items sold on Amazon.
So, I'm trying to suss out what kind of a sell rate things go for in comparison to the item's sales rank.
On the long amazon post, there is a theory by AT along the lines of 50 books = 1 sale per week (i think i've described that correctly). But I'm wondering if this also ties in with sales ranks.
So, over the next few weeks I'll be monitoring the speed of turning around my items against their sales ranks. Additionally, I thought I'd ask you to try the same & maybe put some results up here.
Another thing I've noticed is that sales ranks aren't global across the whole site. For E.G. I've found a video game with sales rank 1 and a book with sales rank 1. So, I wonder how much breakdown there is and how many items have a sales rank of 1.
A couple of my audio books have sales ranks of over 100,000 & I'm wondering if they will ever sell.
I have a few PC games around the 600 mark & wonder if they are likely to get picked up too.
