  • Morning all.

I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself at the minute-went out for a meal on Tues night (was gorgeous) and put a stupidly hot chip in my mouth and burned the roof of my mouth-it has now turned into a massive ulcer and my whole left side of my face is swollen and the glands are up, really painful. :(

Was supposed to take kids for photos this morning but it was such a rush, and they were in such a mood (both exhausted with first week back in school) I admitted defeat and re-arrenged-grumpy kids and a photographer never works...

Toto-has DH left the UK with PN? I luuuurve him.
Glad Jas is getting the op though.

Sammy-big hugs to you and DD and DGS.

Ooh, Fuschias are a bit of a passion of mine Hime-how do you take cuttings? And how do you keep them alive over winter???
Toto-what op does J need? Must have missed that...

Take a bit of stem that has a couple of leaves and no flowers, I have not used, but it's recommended, hormone powder, to dip the stem in. I just push them into a the side of a small pot with a good compost, water and cover with a plastic bag to create a mini greenhouse. Keep them indoors, do not let them dry out and voila, they should root for potting on in spring. The hardier the variety, the easier it is.
  • I might try that Hime-most of mine died over last winter, even though they were indoors..I did forget to water them though....I have a massive "Swingtime" that stays out in all weathers and comes back miraculously in Spring-can't say the same for "New Millenium" though-it did survive, but barely....all my Carmel Blues died, as did Pink Marshmallow...off to garden centre for magic powder then...

    Hello everyone else!!!!

Aww bunny that sucks. Have you put anything on the ulcer? I used that bonjella once thing. It was really good, the pain went within a few seconds and that was it. It's not cheap but it did work for me.

Hubs has gone to the US on a promo tour so just the eskimos. He's on PN in 2 weeks when he gets back. I got my weeks muddled up before :)

I played a bit of kit last night :) it was fun, it feels like ages. All those pain killers I took when all I really needed was half a bottle of rum :D

Morning all! I'm waiting for Linda and Becky to come this afternoon.

Toto, sorry to hear about Jas, I had to have my tonsils out when I was 7, so I sympathise with her.

    SRM, happy anniversary!

Bun, sorry to hear that, hope some of the things people have suggested work.

Lou, my sister's just finished her degree in music technology, she can't get a job for love nor money. She's had 4 interviews so far, from about 100 applications. But this is a bad time for anyone to be getting a job, never mind in such a competitive industry, so maybe things would be different when your son finishes uni. Plus, I don't think she's doing much to help herself with getting a job, I've got contacts for loads of voluntary work she could do with charity's working with inner city kids doing music tech stuff, but she doesn't want to know. Anyway, not sure what the point of this post is!
