    Torbrex, thanks for sharing the piccies, it brought back many, mnay happy memories of my Washington DC trip.
    I was very moved when we visited the Korean War Memorial, it was a touch misty and the statues seemed to materialise & disappear - very spooky.

    Torbrex, thanks for sharing the piccies, it brought back many, mnay happy memories of my Washington DC trip.

    I could imagine it would be spooky, I found myself wanting to speak to them, so life-like and well set out.
    It could be said that it was just too sunny & bright when I was there and with not having any filters for my camera, sometimes the buildings were just too white in the sunshine, particularly the White House at dawn.

    The museums were great and very busy with queue's to see some things (hope Diamond) and exhibits behind glass that make good photo's very difficult to get, I skipped past the art galleries as they dont really interest me and I found the native American museum a bit whiney. The good thing was that they are all within walking distance of each other and have cafe's for snacks.
