My bonus period comes to an end in the middle of October.

I opened an Egg account to replace it and just as I just finish with Egg the postman came with a letter from Tesco saying that as I was a good customer I would get a new bonus from the 1st November of 3% with 1.75 of that the bonus.:j

Thats just to let you know if you were thinking of closing your Tesco account, a new bonus might be on the way to you too.

yep i got that letter to in the post today was considering closing it as better rates in my other rates but glad i have left a £1 in it rather than closing it, at least thats there for me as an account if no other higher easy access rates, especially as it was a pain to get the online access lol!

also 3 of my reg savers are due to finish between 20th november and 20th december (halifax, barclays, skipton xmas saver), so at least i have this account i can lump it all in and then sort out new fix accounts after all the reg savers have finished and then sort out where i am putting it after xmas

Looks like Tesco are getting desperate. That new rate is still 0.25% beolow that of Egg which is not too big a margin but I would still choose Egg ahead of Tesco. I hope Tesco are not too succesful because then it might force them to give an even better rate.
