If I understand you correctly, you are using both a wired connection and a wireless connection from your PC/laptop to your wireless modem router?
If so, the easiest way to make sure the wireless connection is the preferred connection is to go into Network Connections and disable the wired connection.
If that's not what you mean, you will have to be more explicit!0 -
I assume you're using Windows?
I'd go to the Internet Options control panel, click on the Connections tab at the top and then select either "Never dial a connection" or "Dial whenever a network connection is not present".
Assuming your wireless connection starts automatically, your computer should then use that to carry out all its Internet business without bringing up a dial-up connection prompt.0
