Got all excited as I need a new fridge until I realised that it was only on offer on certain, expensive, makesJanuary Grocery 11/3740

This is just another "Sales" gimmick.
They are hoping people will just believe they are getting a good deal because they call it "Scrappage". More like "Crappage" deal.
Took a look at the Fridge/Freezer I was thinking of getting and Comet are more expensive (taking into account the cost of delivery and the 20% reduction off the price).0 -
Have to say that this has worked out very well for me. Wanted a Siemens tumble dryer that sells at £500 and have a dryer that is currently worth about £5. Next cheapest was 427.50 so have saved wquite a bit of money. A lot of the items that they are offering on this scheme are on the which best buy tables. Also, as long as your are flexible on delivery this is free (for all day).0

So that's one person so far who thinks it's good - and ten who don't! :rotfl:Thanks to all who post constructively.
Have an A1 day!0 -

Ah well they lost a sale.
They are as long as you take the item to their store. If you want it collected from your house then they can charge you a "removal" fee for that.0 -
I'd just like to point out a downside to having your old appliance removed by the same van that delivers the new appliance. The delivery men unpacked my new fridge in the van then bashed it against an old cooker that they already had in there. So someone will get a bargain on a damaged fridge, cos I refused delivery.0
