Dvd recorder with tuner

I am looking to invest in a dvd recorder with a hard drive that has a built in tuner, but don't know much about them. Is it best to buy one with a built in tuner??
Is it best to have freeview built in or without?
Can I put in a blank disk and copy from the hard drive if I want to keep a programme?

Any recommendations and best prices?

Aplologies if hijacking thread....Have been looking for similar but with built in freeview tuner - only thing I found was SONY RDR-HXD710 (second D important denotes freeview earlier models dont have that function and many people got casught out apparently) sony page
a couple of searches on pricerunner etc got it to about £381 delivered. Having searched albeit limited number of reviews, opinion seems mixed.
