PC Input - New LCD TV

Hi

Just got myself a HD LCD TV from argos. The thing that swayed the decision to go for this one was that it said PC INPUT in the description.

I read this to mean that I can connect my pc base to it and use it as a monitor. Ive scanned the TV and the manual and it makes no mention of PC input. Have I mis understood the meaning of PC input??

What should I do??

Would image it would have a DVI input - quite a few non-TV LCDs now have these as well as the RGB 15 pin connector. If this is the case, you'll need a video card with digital output in your PC.

    Hi manathome

    Thanks for the reply.

It does have a DVI input but no VGA. If i get a VGA to DVi adaptar, will that do the trick?

    Hi Kaaloo
Yes this will do the trick, however you won't be able to specify the screen size always to fit the image. I have a vga to dvi on mine, but some games I play the picture is just a little bit bigger than I would like, I was told to get a vga to vga cable (my lcd has both connections) and this would let me specify screen size through the Control Panel>Display .
Haven't got round to this yet so can't comment.
You can pick up the dvi>vga cables cheaper on Ebay.
    Good Luck

cheers for all the replies - I actually returned it and got myself a Wharfdale. Girl in argos said - "oh i must point out this one has no PC input". I was gutted but thought sod it I'll take it.
