I can't seme to delete a folder in My pictures. Don't know why, but every time I try to do it, it says it is being used by another programme, which it isn't to my knowledge
It wont even let me change the folders name.
Anyone any clues as to why it's doing this ?
Thanks in advance

Restart your computer and start it in safe mode, I think you have to press F8 whilst the computer starts up (cant remember exactly because I havent done it for ages) but when it asks you, select start in safe mode, you can then do whatever you like to any folder/file on your computer as any program that is using the folder shouldn't of started up.0

Another program you use must be somehow using it, do you have any icons near the clock that could be using it? If there is right click the icon and click exit/close.
Also, are you using one of the pics inside the folder as your desktop wallpaper? If you are then this will also mean you cant delete the folder.
If it still happens, boot to safe mode. Delete it that way.0 -
Thanks for the advice, I am definately not using the folder, but will try the safe mode option once I have finished other work
I don't actually need it deleted, just renamed, but it wont let me do that. It's just a bog standard folder - I don't know what could have caused it ?!****************************0 -

In future for this sort of problem use a freeware app called unlocker. Very useful.
