  • They also asked for ID from me. I wont bother. Not worth the hassles for 5 euros. The whole competition appears to be a marketing stunt to get people signing up to their prepaid card.
  • I won one aswell.

    Thanks OP

  • 5 Euros for me as well:j Thank you 1984ReturnsforReal.

not entirely sure how to make the claim on the website though.....hope there isn't a time limit
  • I got a 5 Euro one too - and there is a time limit, 31st October. Just go through the claim prize only bit and fill in details, they send the card but they also send an email by return that you need to activate the 5 Euros.

chopandchange I read that to mean that if you deposited any extra money onto the card there is a minimum amount of £30, may be wrong though.

It was this bit that worried me:

    10. The Fees and Limits

By activating your Prepaid Card you agree to pay all applicable fees. The following fees apply:

    FeesPrepaid Card Purchase€ 9 or $ 12 (Free if you load more than € 500 or $ 600)Additional Card Purchase€ 6 or $ 8

    It gets worse ....

You have to tick that you accept the terms and conditions and in the list of fees you agree to pay when you activate your card is ....

    Administration Fee € 14 / $ 19

Well, you know, my ancestry isn't all hamster.

  • Naive as I am, I can't believe the Daily Mail would actually run a 'competition' that seems to be just and out and out con???
