FEBER 12v ride on toy car replacement battery

Good day all! I was recently given a FEBER ride on toy vehicle which uses a 12v/12AH battery. The vehicle was in need of some TLC so we completely repainted it. We plugged the battery up to charge and the light on the charger turned red. After several hours of charging, the light remained red and the vehicle doesn't run still. I am assuming that I need a new battery. Is there a way to tell if it's the battery, wires, or charger? Also, if I need to get a new battery, does anyone know where I can find one... I've been surfing the net all evening with no luck.

My kids have also got a Feber. It can take a surprisingly long time for the battery to charge up fully - mine sometimes takes over 12 hours. So first off, I'd leave in on charge for, say, 24 hours and see what happens.

But lead-acid batteries do not last forever, so it's quite possible that it's dead - especially if it's been left fully discharged for any length of time. The links that previous people have posted look good for replacements.

I don't know about this, but I'm wondering whether your local "quick-fit" type tyre / exhaust / battery place could test it for you ? Every time I've needed a new car battery they've tested my old one ( for free ), and they can tell if the battery is indeed knackered. I don't know, but just a thought ? At least you'd know whether it was worth buying a new battery then.
