I've been working at boots since I was 15 and a half (after my Trident work experience placement)... They might be worth a go.... and the discount is pretty handy too ;) x:p

To work at Waitrose you have to be official school leaving age, or there are loads of restrictions regarding the hours you can work. Can't remember what they are but it is things like max of one hour on weekdays and two at weekends.
You will also need your ni number and proof that you are eligible to work in the UK (ie your passport)
I used to do recruitment for Waitrose and they do stick to all the rules, but they are probably the best supermarket for looking after their staff too.
    Good luck with your application!
  • I've worked at Waitrose and I remember that u do have to be 16 and 3 months old (at least) as one of the girls at my training session was. Just wait a few more months because they are really good employers or actually, which Waitrose do u want to work for? I may know some people.. Also perhaps try a John Lewis near u. They're even better.

And italiastar not only do u sound biased but also very bitter. I'm sure it was nothing personal
  • I worked at Waitrose whilst doing A levels - I remember the first of my friends to get a job was in a nursing home, and for the supermarkets was Sainsbury's. I like Waitrose (worked on the deli counter) but to be honest they were the lowest payers of all the supermarkets. Opportunity for lots of extra shifts though...

Actually my brother used to work at the local shop when he was 16 (now a Spar) those sorts of things might be worth a punt depends where you live I guess. Good luck in your hunt!!!!
