Would a mispelt name carry any weight for writing a finance agreement off?!

Anyone?!
Thanks!
If you don't want to pay the loan back then don't take a loan out, simple as I'd of thought..
The company, if it is done by DD, will say that they have your address, bank details, card numbers, telephone numbers, and personal information that you gave them. Also, the spelling error can be corrected..0 -

mr and mrs and miss perfect give it a rest, good luck to you if you can get out of it but dont know that it is that simple, that said whoever filled in the form at the loan people wasnt doing there job right were they may have made some other errors and I am sure they wont loss any money on it, mind you If I were to do my job wrong I would have to go back and do it right, being self employed that would cost time and transport but then I am not a perfect person I just dont rip people of or look down at people who are having a tough time with money
Just for the record it could be that some people although hard working good honest people have had trouble with their finances. Personally I know I have and would be glad to get out of one or two agreements, but then again I am not the sort of person to say rely on the state for looking after an elderly relative, or shove a terminally ill one into a nursing home, or leave the care of a disabled one to strangers, or say no I wont drop everything to search help out my dad when he has problems with the care of my mum.
Sure it would be nice to live in a world where we could look after our family’s with institutions that allowed you to do these things without compromising your finances but we don’t, the choice some of us then face is to abandon people we care about and just carry on accumulating money for the sake of it, not caring for people near to us, diminishing ourselves as people and giving even less thought to strangers. Sadly this Is a choice many [people make they chose to forsake what is really important people for money and the like, maybe they work in a bank and think it is all right to earn a large commission selling an utterly useless PPI policy to someone, maybe they are bailiffs going round settling debts by removing some old ladies telly who knows but just because they can earn a living it doesn’t make them better than those that struggle with money and have to thro genuine adversity find a wee bit of a loophole to get back some of the money these financial institutions have taken over the years.
I am sure that the poster looking for the loophole is of more moral integrity than the sales people of an awful lot of financial products0 -

Did you offer them some sort of reduced payments or try and discuss a compramise?
At the end of the day they lent you money with the expectation you would pay it back. Your circumstances have changed and now you need to figure out how to deal with this debt. I doubt it will be written off due to a typo (did you not notice this when you were originally sent the documents to review and sign and why did you not notify them of this mistake earlier?).
You could try the CAB or the debt free wanabee board on here, they might be a little more supportive than some of the 'extreemists' on here.

some of us get into debt just trying to survive, I am a single mum, ex husband managed to avoid paying child support despite me going to court, going to the CSA and trying to appeal to his non -existant better nature. Factor into my part time wages (worked part time as child care so expensive) all the costs of raising a child, never ending rises in council tax, gas, elec, travel, food then add in several periods of redundancy and ill health and you have a recipe for debt. I ended up having to take out a loan to pay of the debts I'd incurred just trying to keep our heads above water, not as a consequence of wanting lots of material things. Worked full time since my child stareted secondary school but never been on good salary until the last few years and then lived through 3 redundancies in 4 years, still owe money and am now ill and out of work again.0
