Definitely, cancel the DD and tell them that you refuse to pay the money you owe them based on the spelling. Its a win win.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Why do so many people on here on take out debt and then look for any reason to avoid paying it back? Do they really think they are entitled to free money? Not every loan and financial product is mis-sold! How about you do the right thing and actually pay back what you borrowed with the knowledge that it would need to be repaid.0

Same here, maybe they should add a new section "How To Get Out Of Paying My Debt Cause I Wanted This......"
Disgraceful. You borrowed the money - and you dont want to pay it back?
I owe £13k on my Student Loan - i am paying mine back - albeit a different loan - I have some credit card debt >£200 but im not planning on using some silly loophole to advoid paying it off!
if you cannot pay it back, then dont blame the bank, and dont look for a b****y loophole! You were old enough to take the money out - your old enough to pay it back!:beer:In My 'Permanant' Pre-Masters Gap Year

lots of people want to cancel agreements because there was an error in the terms etc.
I think the law should allow unenforceable agreements to be cancelled provided what is owed is returned.0 -
Maybe because circumstances can change beyond your control, like critical illness and therefore not being able to return to work because of it, maybe because when you explain this to the finance company they dont give a fcuk and in response ask when you can make the payment, in which case you look for a loop hole as they clearly do not want to try to help...0

Muststop,
Your case may or may not be a genuine case of hardship, only you know that, however this site is full of threads of !!!!wits who are trying anything to get out of paying back what they have borrowed.
You say the finance company "clearly don't want to help" but why do you think they would want too? its business ,they have no feelings for you full stop.
Some would say you could/should have taken out insurance to cover for critical illness, the pros and cons of which we could debate till the end of time.
If your case is genuine you have my sympathy and good luck to you,If your just another !!!!less moron who maxed out on numerous credit cards,125% mortgages etc,etc etc you don't.
Don't take coments on here personally..0 -
If you think you can evade the loan because of a false name, perhaps the loan company can sue you for applying for the loan under false pretences.0
