Well well, after saying the other day that i would like a Waitrose in Glasgow, my MIL tells me on the phone that a company has took over an existing supermarket in the West end...

SUPERMARKET chain Waitrose plans to open its first West of Scotland store
    in Glasgow.

The city's West End is in line for the chain's third Scottish store as it bids to
take over a prime site currently occupied by Somerfield.

Would you believe this...brill, brill, brill.

dont suppose this was the one in mansfield was it - i have been using that one for a good few months now and then went in the other day and there are signs up saying with immediate effect this store no longer accepts internet coupons - from what staff were telling me they couldnt get away from the tills to fill the shelves and that the week before they stopped it they took more on coupons than they did cash!!!!!

Been into Mansfield store myself today and was told no internet coupons and only 5 other coupons and the only original non internet ones I had were pic a pac so only £1.25 off for me boo hoo! Except for the £2 off when you spend £20 mailing coupon T's sent me. I went over there specifically to get a clock radio too. Should have taken a copy of the email - will be doing that forthwith!

Perhaps then Mr T better reconsider its Coupon Policy coz it's a loss making policy:eek:! Tho I cannot see how TL's office would still be 'adamant' about the existance of their National Coupon Policy if it wasn't making them any money...

It'll still be making them some money, if you factor in the net profit, i.e. include their profit on goods sold, as they are still being "paid" for them and let's face it, most of us would spend a heck of a lot less in there if it weren't for coupons and might very well shop elsewhere anyway. So I think in the long run they are still "up" on the transactions.
