Child Prices dearer than Adults?

I have just been pricing up some holidays for 2 adults and 2 childrens and I had read previously that room supplements make it dearer for children than adults. For example 2 adults, 2 childen £1400, because of room supplements and the 1st childs price was more than the adults price, but 4 adults £1000.

Is there anything to stop you booking your children as adults. I've looked at the booking page and it doesn't ask for ages unless your over 65?

Thanks

Sarah

It shouldn't as when I'v been in travel agents before they have suggested putting the kids in as adults as it works out cheaper in some cases, as it has in yours. Maybe ring the travel agants and get a quote from them with kids prices and mention about going as all adults. Depending when and where you are going check the sunset brochure it seems cheap.

I wouldnt book a holliday with them. I'd email to tell them why and when they get their act together to get back in touch, and allso mention you are a regular on many travel forums on the net and will be posting every where what a dissgrace they are.

They all do it...this is why 9 times out of 10 its cheaper to book the holiday in seperates ...If you dont book with them you dont book with anyone they are all as bad as one another
If you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel

I've booked my children as adults before and it's never been a problem.
Here I go again on my own....

It interesting really! It seems its just a way of raking in extra money and yet again penalising family holidays!

I'm tempted to try it, just want to be sure that I'm not going to get to the airport and turned away!

I've taken my children as 'Adults' before without any problem - go for it.
I'd asked the Travel agent to quote me and when the quote came through I realised that the child price was more expensive. I just went back to the Agent and pointed out the difference - and made the comment that I was disappointed that the Agent hadn't checked this. I got an apology and a cheaper deal.
