I am doing this from memory so it might not be exact. If it is wrong, I will log onto my accounts and look. View the full statement you want to download and on the same screen there is a button to "download this statement". Select that and you will get the download screen. It is straightforward from there but if you get stuck just ask again.0

I ended up with duplicate bills so I simply download my statement now, rather than make the entries automatically.0

Will it be ok for me to add them to the bills calendar? will this still duplicate them?MFWB

Rather than download the statments - I enter them manually. Only takes 5 minutes ( I also use the recurring bills ).
I found it much easier for long term planning.

From the bills manager, create each one. Fairly easy to set up.You can choose to get them to enter in the account automatically. I would still recommend you download your statements. although there will be duplication, they will be matched up and you can choose to accept all matched transactions. That way, you can check if you have any unexpeted additions downloaded.$17mma wrote:Thanks T

My bank does not support Money so I have had to painfully list all my transaction. Which took ages.
As for the bills i am scared that they will duplicate on my account.
Also can i access Money remotely?MFWB

Not sure what you mean ... do you mean they will duplicate them in your actual bank account? If so, then no. When you set up a bill in Money, you are simply telling Money that this is a payment you make regularly e.g. mortgage, council tax etc.
If you can download transactions from your bank, then Money will try and match those transactions to your bills. Nothing you do in Money affects your actual bank account - Money is just a way of keeping track of what is going on in your account.
In addition, I'm not a fan of downloading transactions from online banking and simply relying on them. You should put all your transactions into Money as they occur. So if you made a debit card purchase today, put it in Money today. Then, when you download transactions or a statement from your bank, you can check that there have been no mistakes or fraudulent purchases. Also can i access Money remotely?
No, as the data file is stored on your PCWarning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac
