I have trouble as i am a swimming teacher so i work evenings and sun mornings so it means finding a childcare provider is extremely difficult.
Unfortunately i understand it that i am not entitled to help towards childcare from tax credits until i reach the 16hr marker............
Ah, hang on...
I'd assumed you were in "full time" work (over 16 hrs). I'm not sure if it applies to under 16 hours. Might be worth ringing your local council to check.0 -

You have to be working 16hrs or more as a lone parent, or both working 16 hours each if part of a couple to have childcare costs disregarded.
The same limits are applied as for tax credits.0
