went through my entire house ad filled my car with goodies for boot fair!

All the best for tomorrow Lou, my tip is dont be afriad to sell something for practically nothing. I sold free cd films from the paper for 5p etc. at the end all my clothes that were left were 50p or 3 for a quid, same with books. didnt sell a lot of books though, think ill start on amazon with them now...
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

I havent posted on this thread for a while and I must admit I have been slipping a bit lately so I am going to give myself a kick up the bum and turn over another new leaf.

Today I made HM bread and we had that with HM soup left over form yesterday for lunch.

I have been trying to get some carpets for my house with money that I got weeks ago for endowment mis - selling. Trawled around 5 carpet shops and got prices under budget and haggled to get extras added and a bit more knocked off. But when it came to it I couldnt do it  so will have to go back tomorrow to actually part with my cash and actually order the carpets :rotfl: Problem is I really need the carpets now becasue I took up the old ones last week so that I could paint the skirting boards ready for the new ones - so we are walking on bare floorboards :p

Went a bit down hill tonight though. Daughter was in a show so went to see it but had to wait for an hour before it started and as I hadnt eaten tea I got a pub meal. In my defence though I only got a starter for £2.65 and that was more than enough :p got my drinks bought for me too as I had bought the tickets for the show ages ago so didnt turn out too bad.

So tomorrow I will order the carpets and also try to complete all of my weekly goals before a new week starts :o

I decided to soak some chick peas ready for tomorrow - they've been in the cupboard for ages but we always use the tinned ones...love chick peas! :D

Made dinner and pancakes / drop scones - lovely but not good for mydiet....oops:o .

Tomorrow - I'll need to dig out a chick pea recipe.

Saturdays are a weird day for me - it's the weekend :T :T :T but OH works nearly every Saturday :( and all my friends are with their family etc End up cleaning all day (no money to go out anyway!) - so much for the weekend
Thank god I love cooking :T

So glad to hear that you're feeling more positive LA :)

Yesterday I weeded & mowed the front garden which took a few hours

Was planning to go for a walk with ds but the rain started so we went to the library & museum instead which is free :)
They had a few good exhibitions, some Leonardo da Vinci drawings, a toy exhibition which was a bit scary as I seem to remember most of the retro toys on display! & a great black & white photo exhibition (ds was particularly impressed with a photo of someone mooning with an eye tattooed on each cheek!) typical 11 year old! :rotfl:

Spent £1.24 on some reduced Xmas bits in Woolies.

Made a healthy fry up for tea (grilled bacon & sausage);)

Was in bed by 9.30 cause I was so tired!
  • Rather than spend money I actually made money on Saturday - £20 extra by doing a few mystery shops but hey it's better than spending £20 - right :D

Went to the gym and also spent time looking through recipe books for lots of home-made goodies and using up store cupboard ingredients :T

Don't know whether this is the right place to post, but I thought it might be of interest. My local Tesco Express has an Esso petrol station. If you go just to fill up, they won't give you Tesco clubcard points on your petrol, because it's not Tesco petrol. However, if you buy some stuff at the same time, they don't seem bothered about giving you points on the whole thing. So now I want to see how much petrol and how little groceries I can buy, and still get points! Or is my Tesco Express just mean in not giving points on petrol?
