gas meter stopped working i think!

hi ive just moved into a new council home on the 4th of may and having huge problems between energy suppliers... the previous owner was with e.on and so it took bowt 3wk to switch over to a new company.. e.on was given a start up meter reading though and then british gas have given then an estimate bt ive hardly had my gas on havn't had my heating on once and theyv sent me a bill for 219.15 for gas for 23days worth and apparantly the reading BG gave then on the 27th ov june my meter isn't evan on that nw? so its 200 units out? and also there saying i owe 31.72 for electric which is 9 days worth???? please help!

If you have received an estimated bill its simply a matter of providing your own meter reading and the bill will be reissued.
Were the meter readings agreed between suppliers when you changed over or were these estimated?

it was estimated by british gas for e.on, we havn;t gave british gas meter readings yet and we get a bill off them on the 29th of ths month so ime dreading what there going to estimate if theyv gave e.on a estimation thats extautionate for 3 weeks gas whats it gna b like 4 3 month? ime reli worrid.
