Think you really do need to tell your dad. It would appear you are financially linked through the mortgage. It would not be good if he only found out by being refused credit, phone contract etc.0

Hi
Yes these are the debts covered by B&E! I hoping this is good news??
Regarding the phonebill, I live out in the middle of nowhere and can only get vodafone.........I think I need to be having words with them and explaining that I cant afford this!
Thank you again for all your help
xx Some debts are fun when you are acquiring them, but none are fun when you set about retiring them!!!
It's amazing how fast later comes when you buy now!!!! :eek:0 -

So you need to get the mortgage back on track. Given your very high excess, you could pay an extra month's payment this month and next and still pay the creditors off the £181. That would get your mortgage sorted.
Once that is sorted, you can increase the payments to your creditors.
Do you actually have £400 per month left over?If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
I know it must be so scary, especially when its your dad, i know how they can be!
You do need to tell him though, depending on your fathers financial state 2 months mortgage might not be a lot and he could help you out.
Explain that the financial strain has caused your depression. I mean would your dad rather you did some drastic to yourself over money troubles or would he rather you tell him before it gets serious?
Good luck, let us know his reaction, and remember, the sooner the better! Get it over with! x0 -
Normally between 200-400 as things keep cropping up!! Like for example my oil comes up for payment every 6 months, so this month I have 200 to fork out for that, which I know ideally I should save for every month!
Do you think the mortgage company would be understanding if I write and explain everything? Im hoping they would maybe spread the costs a bit further??Some debts are fun when you are acquiring them, but none are fun when you set about retiring them!!!

Well, offer to repay the mortgage over 3-4 months. See what they say.
I think you need to set up a second bank account that has all your bills money goes into (apart from maybe the mortgage), so that when car/oil/repair costs come in you have the money in there. Rather than it sitting in the general account.
But do write to them quickly, so they know you are dealing with it. Most start action after 3 months. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
