they should have reda a legal statement to you advising of their cancellation procedure, usually between 7 and 14 days. this is a legal right when entering into a number of contracts such as loans, credit cards or energy suppliers. This should have been explained to you in full and it sounds as though they are being very underhand if it wasn't

28 days is not that long to wait, could be worse, at least it's not mid winter. Sometimes it's not worth getting stressed out about these things as they end up consuming you. OK so it may cost you a couple of quid extra next month but it's not like you are stuck with them for 6 months.

They are lying they will stonewall you till the transfer goes through, they are probably the worst in the industry for account theft..

Of course if a company gives a commission to a lying salesman, the company become complicit in the lying.
