Can i force ex to sell

I live in a jointly owned home with my daughter(15) and my ex left last december with my son. I want to sell the jointly owned home to clear the mortgage but my ex wants to move back in and refuses to sell. she is renting and has set a new home up and has contributed nothing ever to the mortgage. i am able to move in with my mother and be mortgage free as the house would break even if we sold. if i let her move back in and she refuses to pay the mortgage i will be liable for this, also if she does move back in with my son then she will refuse to sell till he is 18 (ten years time). I just want to sell and be rid of the morgage but she is refusing....please help

Could she afford to buy you out? (meaning she'd get to live in the house, and you'd get your share of the equity). How big is the mortgage remaining? How much does she earn?
YOu can go through the solicitor route to force her to sell I think, but it will cost £££££sShould've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Are you married or not?If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
