Help - Debt and Charges

Hi Everyone

I'm looking for a bit of advice.....

I'm currently on the road of paying off my debts that have been amassed over the last 7 years. I'm getting there slowely but surely with the wonderful help of CCCS.

Anyway my fiance and I were discussing the reclaiming of bank charges (which to be honest didnt help my situation!!!)

So all of my creditors have been great in terms of they have frozen all charges/interest payments, including on a Bank Loan and Overdraft (mostly charges) allowing me to truely make a dent in my debts.

So the question is....is it reasonable to ask my bank to give me back my bank charges with the view to pay off any outstanding debts with them and others, given that they have been fair enough to hold on further charges and interest since being with CCCS??

Would they be likey to say...here have your money back. But oh, here is the additional interest/charges that we havent been adding?

I seem to be struggling with 'am I being fair'??

Can anyone offer me advice/opinions?

Thanks very much in advance.

I can't see the harm in asking the bank albeit, from the details posted above, I think they might say no since you are repaying the debts and are not struggling today.
If there are credit card accounts then I would reclaim the charges from them going back 6 years today since any amount you reclaim will help reduce the overall amount you owe so might make it easier for you,
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009
