Eisteddfod Accomodation

I would like to visit the Eisteddfod and would welcome suggestions for accommodation on the 7th and 8th of July. If not in Llangollen then possibly somewhere that I can use the steam train to travel in on - that sounds quite appealing:-)
Just a single room and secure parking of possible.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

https://www.llangollen.org.uk is the tourist info centre site - they will be able to find you a room. All the local b&bs and guesthouses are pretty good, but a lot of them have regular guests who book a year in advance for eisteddfod week! Some local people rent out rooms for the week - the tourist office will have info about this, might be a good way to discover the town beyond the eisteddfod field.
If you do want to travel in on the steam train you could stay at the Chainbridge Hotel which is just across the river from Berwyn station. It hasn't had a great reputation in the past but is improving I believe.
Further afield there are steam train stations in Glyndyfrdwy and Carrog (tiny villages but in beautiful countryside) or Corwen (not so pretty!).
I grew up in Llan and eisteddfod week is amazing! Make sure you're there for the parade and have a wander round the town in the evenings as foreign groups often put on spontaneous shows!
