Bank Charges Question

Heyy im new to this, just a quick question, so i went overdrawn on the 3rd of last month i cancelled a direct debit via internet banking and they charged me £20 that was news to me because i didnt know they charged you for clicking a button anyway i had no money in at the time so it went overdrawn, i got a letter threw the post telling me the usual (£6 per day and £15 charge), so on the 3rd of this month (sept) they took another £20 charge out of my account RETURNED D/D i have no idea what for because i only cancelled d/d last month and im still waiting for these other charges to be taken out of my account, will they take it out when i get payed this saturday?.

What was the Direct Debit for? And did you tell the company that you don't want to pay them anymore money?0

oh wait no sorry i got confused then lol, the charge was for cancelling shop direct payments, i didnt tell them i cancelled it because i payed the full amount off

They won't charge you for stopping a Direct Debit, the charge will be for something else.
The returned Direct Debit will be because they tried to take money, there was not enough money in the account so it was returned and you were charged. This could be from the shop.
Have you asked the bank what direct debit it was that was returned and why?0 -

i was gonna ring them this morning but i thought id come here first, i shall ring them now ill tell ya how it went0
