downloads so slow

for some reason when i am downloading games it takes forever now - how do i speed them up?

This could be one of a few reasons.............

Spyware or a virus on your computer......
Contention on your local BT exchange.......
Contention on your ISP network.......
Hardware at your end on its way out......
Site your downloading from being busy......
Slow seed (if you use torrents).....
Some ISPs 'shape' (or slowdown) certain kinds of traffic now.......

If you are using an IM that will slow down your speed
Also check that your Secuirty software is not updating
Also check that Windows is not updating
If you are using a wireless network someone else on the network may be taking up alot of resources make sure your network is secure as some unauthorised person may be using your internet.
Try using a different download site or if the site has mirrors use a different one.
