Hi All,
I've decided to have a clear out before the winter sets in...need to know where the biggest/best place to car boot in suffolk and surrounding areas is?
So far I'm undecided between: Huntingdon Racecourse, Snetterton Market or Suffolk Showground (Trinity Park) any comments on these would be great, or if you have a better suggestion let me know!
Also what are the people of east anglia buying??
Thanks

The Norwich site at Arminghall on Sundays is a good event well organised etc as is the one at nearby Stalham - which is a late starter
buyers strictly not allowed in until the owner in a large Stetson hat blows his whistle at 11 0 clock sharp - no joke ! ) also a large one at the Hellsdon high school in the city on the Saturday
- be aware that you will need a visa to cross the counties borders though ( especially if coming from Suffolk ! ) :rotfl:As Martin says - please be nice - there is no such thing as a stupid question !0 -
The carboot in Ardleigh, Essex is supposed to be good. There is also one in Needham Market, Suffolk which is also popular.0

snetterton market is NOT a boot sale, last week had 4 cars parked at the end of the row. Of course you will still get people viewing but dont go expecting a boot sale.
How about Banham zoo ?? its a bit further up than snetterton but is HUGE, stalls cost £7.50 per car. You need to get there really early ie 6am for a good pitch under cover but there were still people setting up stalls at gone ten.

Oh fantastic...thanks for the info guys, sounds like Banham zoo is the place to go!?!
So is it actually at the zoo? Has anyone done this one recently?? What's selling best?
Does it run every Sunday?
So many questions, so much to sell!
Thanks for y'all help!Really want to move out! Moving out - fund £00 -
Try Carrow Road on a Saturday afternoon: Loads of wide open spaces that need someone to fill them... sorry, couldn't resistBack on MSE after a 5 year hiatus.

If you are looking at Huntingdon races
have at look at crystal lakes fenstanton not too far and some people do one then the other !!!0 -
I recently did a car boot at Huntingdon Racecourse and found it to be ok. I agree with the post above and think that Crystal Lakes is perhaps your better bet. The advantage of Huntingdon is that it is a later car boot so you will get to lie in a bit but there is probably only 1-2 hours of real selling time (the place starts to empty out around 1).0

banham zoo holds the boot sale in its overflow car park, its been running over 10 years at least and has a mix of sellers of market stalls (fruit, catalogue returns etc) and normal stalls,
ive had great success anytime ive been there, but ive not sold there in a while so cant tell you what sells well.
