I thought 1408 was brilliant, I'm not a huge fan of Steven King based films, some stuff I love, some stuff I hate. I keep meaning to try and get hold of some of his books.

Oblong jaffa cakes? I didn't like the idea till I read about the edge to edge filling, which sounds good. I'm not a VAT geek, but I know about the cake/biscuit thing, does that make me just a geek?

Heating is now apparantly working - they had to replace loads of bits. They've also changed the fan speed so hopefully some heat'll get into the bedroom. Wonder if it'll last the whole winter!

What sort of job to you fancy Bookie in an ideal world then?
Anything course related to that on offer?
    Probably admin, book-keeping. Boring stuff.
I'm good for nothing really - just brilliant at being a mug.
Can't get free courses until I get my JSA award. Catch 22.

Of course you're good at things other than being a mug! You ran a business for a long time until it folded, like many other (and much bigger) companies, during a recession.

You can always start looking for courses you want to do, get the registration packs etc, then as soon as you get the JSA letter you're ready to send them all off. Do you have a degree already? The OU might be a good place to start if not. I'm not sure what book keeping courses they do, but you'd get a grant of around £255, and a computer grant, on top of your fees being paid. Plus, courses start in October, which gives you an extra month to get JSA sorted, colleges tend to start around now.

Back from the health trainer. She's going to phone the social worker's manager and give her a piece of her mind, she's champing at the bit to do it! So that's good, another professional saying that the suggestions are detrimental to my progress. She's also referring me to a 'travel trainer' to help me get out and about. I need to think of a regular journey to make to get help with and someone to go with me. I can't think of anything though! The most exotic journey I make is to the supermarket. Maybe a trip out to the charity shops in Wetherby or Otley, with a coffee thrown in or something like that. Not MSE, but getting out and keeping the depression at bay is just as important as debt busting to my mind.

Sammy, I'm not brilliant at creative stuff, but I can cobble a newsletter or webpage together, so if you want I can have a go at some leaflet ideas for you? Just PM me what details you want to put on it.

Oooo what about a blog?? You could update it every week - 'Tale from the clients' as a take from tales from the crypt - could be fun to do and not too much effort :D
