Product Key not working on Microsoft Word.

Hi all.I've recently bought a laptop which came pre installed with Microsoft Word. Suddenly today it said that I need to enter the Product Key to continue using it (something about using it more than 25 times). So I checked the Product Key on the bottom of the laptop and entered it, but it said it was invalid.I checked it four or five times but still it said it was wrong. There was no other Product Key that came with the laptop and I'm confused and slightly annoyed.Anyone have a a clue what I can do?Many thanks.Josh

It came pre-installed with a Trial of Microsoft Office which has now run out.

The key at the bottom of your laptop is entirely unconnected.

So now you have the choice of purchasing a full licence or using OpenOffice for free.

The product key on the bottom of the laptop is the windows activation code. No computers these days come with a full version of Office pre-installed. Yours had a 60 use trial, after which that is used up, you have to buy the full version.

The home and student version can be obtained for around £55, although if you are a qualifying student, it can be obtained for less.

Its possible that your copy of word came with an installation disk, if so the product key will be in the packaging, if not the above comments apply.
That gum you like is coming back in style.
