    Hello and welcome.;)

This seems to be the case with these rip off single policies, and they are well frowned on, so I would go for the reclaiming on all your loan ppi and the interest of all the loans taken.

Also with the fact that your hubby was self employed there is a possibility that your hubby would not have been eligible to make a successful claim anyway on unemployment etc.

For more information check this link here below:

I would write the account numbers on one letter if they were mis sold for all the same reasons.
They have 8 weeks to respond.

On the above link you will find useful information, such as a mis selling checklist, template letters, you can use them if you want to or as a guide, with writing your reasons, if you find more in the checklist then write all the reasons that occur to you.

Do not worry about writing the amounts down though.

They may write back by giving you an opportunity if they have not resolved, so keep at them until they resolve in your favour or until they issue you with the final decision, which should also enclose details of the finanical ombudsman service (FOS), you can take your complaint to these if your not happy with the outcome.

I would not go for any low goodwill offers either, as you've been ripped off and been out of pocket due to this.

Good luck with this and please post back for help anytime and please keep us posted, cheers.;)

Many PPI plans cover the self employed. So, dont automatically assume they dont. If it doesnt then you have a strong case.

  • ok just an up date had offer of good will to day on my middle loan of 3 .but no news about the first and present one is this nomal? they say "I have paid £ 2600 in total in p.p.i. but this excludes the amount automatically creited to your loan of £513.00 when the policy was cancelled." What does this mean? plus no mention of an interest . Any idea what kind of figure interest payment might be? Since October 2005. cheers

Hi Holly that is good news then, well done.:T:beer:

I would check on the other 2 just in case, but maybe they are dealing with them separately, best to check though just in case.

Not too sure on how they worked this out, maybe someone on here that can work calculations out will be able to clarify this with you, but your entitled to request for a written detailed breakdown of the calculations, so you know what is what etc.

Maybe that amount of PPI of £2600 is what you would be getting back, but this does not include the £513, again this needs to be confirmed, or it may be another payment to be added on to the above.

Hopefully someone will be along soon to explain the calculation side of it out for you soon, good luck and please keep us posted.

Hi Hollybear, well done to you.

I would ask them to send you a copy of a full detailed written breakdown, and question them on the interest as well.
    Good luck;).
