My oh has been separated from his ex wife since before i met him (we have been together 4 years) he has been trying to get a divorce but for some reason she continues to contend it.
She asked him to leave once she had found out she was pregnant with their second child i don't know the full ins and outs of it all but she is alot older than him and she used to treat him like crap.. he was there to pay the bills and look after the eldest daughter while she continued the life she had prior to the child and him.
Then he found himself homeless a month after finding out she was pregnant again since then he has seen his children with her twice since the youngest was born, she constantly refuses to allow him to see them and when she does say he can see them she doesnt turn up and where she lives is a 6 hour drive that im more than willing to do so he can see them (he doesnt drive)
He has pr as he was/is married to her can he get some sort of court order so he can see his children he appreciates that it will need to be supervised as the children dont know him the youngest not at all the oldest was 3 when they split so he needs to try and build some kind of relationship with them
I have also said that i will support him but also stay out of the way while he sees them so he can build his relationship up with them first.
Me and him have 2 children together so idealy it would be nice if they could meet them too

There's this place in me where your fingerprints still rest, your kisses still linger, and your whispers softly echo. It's the place where a part of you will forever be a part of me.

Contact Orders - section 8 Children Act 1989
These are orders that require the person with whom a child lives to allow that child to visit, stay or have contact with a person named in the order.
Orders continue until the child is 16 years. The court will only make contact orders for children over 16 years old in exceptional circumstances.
Contact can either be direct e.g. face-to-face meetings with a person or indirect e.g. by letter, video, exchange of Christmas cards etc.
Some orders will be very specific as to times, dates and arrangements for contact, other orders will be more open with detailed arrangements to be made between the parties by agreement.
These orders are not just obtained by parents for contact with their children, there can also be orders for contact between siblings or the child and wider family members.
Sometimes the order will give directions that the contact is to be supervised by a third person. The order may also only be for a specific period or contain provisions which operate for a specific period.
These are orders of the court and to not comply with them can be a contempt of court with serious consequences.
