Radio and television brands Alba and Bush sold to Argos owner Home Retail GroupRE; #8.
If Bush and Alba are trademarks of Argos, how come they are sold in my local Co-op and Sainsburys?.0 -
I don't read the Telegraph, so wasn't aware of that. Due to the cheap and nasty build quality of their products, I don't own any, so haven't had the need to visit their website lately either.Never Knowingly Understood.

I dont often just did some digging I didnt know that myself until today0

when the rents took the tv back and the alba was offered the argos guy did say that it was a good quality unit as alba tv's were basically bush in a diff box.. me personally would not spend £500 notes on either of those and have told em to wing it back to argos and get their money back0

Do your parents really need 1080p , if they mainly watch normal TV then the picture can be worse and its a waste of money0
-
1080P tvs also cost more to make so at the cheaper end of the scale (Under 600), 768 panel tvs tend to look better (Panasonic etc) as more money is spent on getting better quality rather than just more pixels:idea:0

nah they dont.. i told em that, the only reason they bought the hitachi was that it was on sale from £799 down to £499 when they were in the market for a new tv.. they have no blu-ray or ps3 so ive told them to get a decent tv with the refund money..even perhaps go down to 40" and get the sony that is on sale in comet for £499 which happens to be 1080p but again thats just a bonus0 -
I would definitely buy the Sony if it was me. Hitachi are cr*p these days whilst Sonys are VERY good:idea:0
