One of my treats is scoffing down a cold tin of Ambrosia Rice Pudding which is nice and creamy. Has anyone any reviews of supermarket own brands as they are cheaper, but are they as tasty?

I've just discovered Tesco value creamed rice pudding (about fourpence halfpenny a tin) - delicious with windfall apples I've stewed up and far far nicer than the 'Muller rice' (apple variety) I had last week - I have no idea what they've done to their recipe since the last time I had it, but it's vile. I'll be sticking to my new favourite treat from now on!Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0

Sounds good but have not got a slow cooker, so will be sticking with the tin stuff. Is there not a temptation to have a few too many tasters with a big spoon?;)"When the Government borrows, the citizen has to save".

Try the one from Lidl. I can't remember the price, but it's just as good IMHO.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...:D:D
