Ambrosia Rice Pudding

Options
One of my treats is scoffing down a cold tin of Ambrosia Rice Pudding which is nice and creamy. Has anyone any reviews of supermarket own brands as they are cheaper, but are they as tasty?

i can get the recipe for you if you would like?
    its just
pudding rice, milk , cream and sugar
its very very filling and oh so yummy!
just as good , if not better than ambrosia
and bonus is that if its in the slow cooker you dont have to tend to it often lol :)

  • I've just discovered Tesco value creamed rice pudding (about fourpence halfpenny a tin) - delicious with windfall apples I've stewed up and far far nicer than the 'Muller rice' (apple variety) I had last week - I have no idea what they've done to their recipe since the last time I had it, but it's vile. I'll be sticking to my new favourite treat from now on!

Sounds good but have not got a slow cooker, so will be sticking with the tin stuff. Is there not a temptation to have a few too many tasters with a big spoon?;)

Try the one from Lidl. I can't remember the price, but it's just as good IMHO.

Ooh I'm going to give that a try. I've been buying small tins of Ambrosia rice to have instead of the Muller ones recently. Muller aren't nearly as nice, I think it's the fruit they put in. You can't beat a spoonful of raspberry jam lol :D
