A lot of companies will honour the price that has been stated on the ticket/website - wherever, this is done as a goodwill gesture. Given the price was quite a significant difference, they've obviously decided to say no.

Its irritating, but you should be able to understand that humans make errors and clearly this is one of them. They gave u the option to pay the extra or to have a refund. You selected refund, there shouldn't be a problem really.

You do lose out if they can't do a refund there and then and make you ring a number (chargeable!) for the refund.
