Hi,
I'm wanting to buy a media player to stream music from my LaCie NAS to my stereo. (wirelessly as they are in different rooms)
I'm thinking about the Phillips NP1100/05 but when I asked Phillips if the two were compatable they said :
"Thank you for contacting Philips regarding your NP1100/05 and the usage of the player. The NP1100 can connect to any UPnP Media server so as long as the LaCie unit has a certified server backend running it will work normally"
What is a certified server backend and is it as painful as it sounds ?
Does anyone on this techie forum know more about Phillips products than they do and if so is the LaCie compatable with the Phillips ?

If the phillips is not compatable is this ?
