Hello chaps - I was given an icecream maker through Freecycle which is fabulous but it doesn't have a manual. It's a Moulinex Gelati. So can I ask:
a) does anyone have a manual and can tell me how to use it or
b) if not, does anyone have a similar machine they could tell me how to use?
I imagine you put a bit of it in the freezer and then put it on the motor bit and turn it on. I imagine...
Thanks very much.

Try googling "Moulinex gelati instructions" and you should be able to download an instruction booklet. You may need the model number.

Yes, I've googled manuals and instructions, but sadly there aren't any available
Thanks anyway.0 -

Don't you mmmm at me when I could be making icecream!!:D
What do you do with yours, purpleivy - I'm sure they're all basically the same. Mine has a motor bit on the bottom, a metal dish bit that sits on top with a removable paddle and a perspex cover over the top.
I seem to remember YEARS ago hearing that you put the metal bit in the freezer to get it really cold, then you put in your ingredients and turned it on. I may be making this up of course.
Indulge me. How does yours work??:o0 -
You'll need to freeze it thoroughly (minimum 24 hours). Also chill you ingredients before you add them to the machine. You will find recipes everywhere for Ice Cream so that shouldn't be a problem. Examples:

mines a magimix le glacier - will dig out manual if ive still got it - but as i remember - i had to leave bowl in freezer overnight then make the ice cream sorbet or whatever and turn machine on - havent used the darn thing for years as too much trouble - and it took a good half hour or maybe an hour to turn it into ice-cream.0

Dear Tandraig,
I'm looking for the instruction manual for the Moulinex Gelati ice cream maker (Model A85). My Mum gave me the machine but has lost the user guide and I found this old post in which you helped someone else out by sending them a scanned image of the instructions.
I'd be really grateful if you could let me know if you still have the instructions and could send me a copy?
Kind regards,
film buff0
