as title states really.If you need to call dont do it today

student finance were having system issues when i called at 3pm. I was cut off..just managed to get through again now to be told the systems have crashed and they are onto it. They do not expect it to be rectified by close of play so try again tomorrow...

Thought i would share to save you re-dialling for ages to be told they cant help

I haven't been able to get through for weeks due to "technical difficulties". Total joke (except it's not funny).

Yeah, I kept calling and calling today to get told the lines were all full, and then eventually got another automated message saying they can only give out "general information" today due to technical issues, and cannot change any personal account information. Not much good when I'm locked out of my account because I can't remember my password or access my emails, is it? Couldn't you have put that on the FIRST automated message, instead of wasting an hour of my life? *grumble*

SLC's systems always go down for maintenance on Wednesday evenings.

It's weird, because I work on exactly the same system they use, and there was no downtime at all until 5pm, when it was scheduled.
