feel better today put in request for list of charges regarding business and personal accounts back from 2001 paid £10.00 for each with postal orders as bank could not accept cash, cancelled all d/ds and s/orders so accounts do not acummalate more charges, talking to manager and said will we get any more charges on these accounts and he said depends on how much in charges we put back into your accounts (was this a slip of the tongue).

No, it was verbal and a manager does not make any decision on Financial hardship, in fact, if you handed him 2 lots of £10 and it was the one bank then he should not have needed to take the other one since a SAR(Subject Access Request) should only cost you £10 for all data on you not £10 per account.
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009

  • Thank you for the reply, yes paid two separate lots of £10.00 for charges request one for the personal account which the manager said he would send straight off, then handed him the one for our partnership business charges asked for these via data protection (used template letters off of here), which he said he would have to give to the business relationship manager, also he was going to pass on the personal account one to the manager as well thought you had to pay £10.00 for each account
