House buying - kitchen extension

We viewed a house we liked. I'ts got a small kitchen and a large utility room next to it separated by a brick wall. We were thinking of knocking this wall down and opening the space, creating a large kitchen with breakfast area.
My question is: how much do builders normally charge for such job? I'm not interested in quotes at this stage, just a rough idea whether we should reserve around £3k, £5k, £10k or £15k for that. Thanks.

Simply knocking the wall down, supporting it with an rsj (if necessary) and replastering to make good should be £3k or less.
Reflooring it is prob essential. If you're replacing the kitchen units as well it's up to you how much you spend.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Don't forget to check if you'll need Building Regs approval! I got caught on this one for my garage conversion.0
