I am getting several missed calls a day from this number!!

Anybody getting the same??

"Who Calls Me" website seems to imply it is something to do with Insurance, I did use Tesco Compare a week ago and since then loads of calls!!!!!

Sounds familiar, we were getting this number calling us every now and then until we changed phone providers and got a new number (not because they were calling us lol).

I used to enjoy messing about and wasting the time of companies phoning up to sell rubbish.

the company is called lead x they use an automatic dialling system to basically abuse people into having a quote if you wud like 2 complain use their own business number 0844 871 4300

Its he quotes from the comparison site that are causing it, try putting a made up number in future

If it's the lead x I'm thinking of, the car insurance company I used to work for were in partnership with them for people who's cars we couldn't insure (prestige, imported, etc.).

I personally do this all the time. Why do they even need to know the number, I haven't asked for them to contact me!

"Tesco" said the company on top of the quote list would only be the one that would ring.

I finally answered the phone and it turned out to be via Budget Insurance. (because this time last year I requested a quote!!!)

I told them I don't want calls on this number!!! and they hung up!!!

I luv cats - I think Budget insurance (and some of their brands) are on Tesco Compare, they were definitely on places like CompareTheMarket and GoCompare when I worked there.
