EON Business Electricity Account & TNC Legal Services

I don't know if anyone can help me but here goes!!
My firm moved into an additional unit on an industrial estate last April, we have 4 on the same estate. We got British Gas in to set up electric and gas accounts for the unit as we have in all the rest and signed contracts last May. We kept getting letters saying BG couldn't move our supply of electric but we weren't being billed by anyone at all, so they kept trying to move it but couldn't.
In January this year we got a call asking us when we had moved in the building from EON as they wanted to send us some information. I told them and we got a bill for £1200.00 through the post for all that period.
British Gas have now got the electric account, not because EON gave them it but because EON lost rights to supply on the estate we are on. They have billed us at absolute top whack on standing charges and stuff we would never have agreed to at the first bill.
I have asked and emailled them saying we want the bill recalculating properly instead of basically being conned into paying through the nose for the supply when we didn't even want them to supply us anyway but they refuse.
They have now passed us to TNC legal who initially threatened to take us to court in 7 days, that was in June, then they have offered us a £200.00 discount if we pay by a certain date or they are doing something else, it wasn't take us to court though.
Does anyone have any ideas on this, I am starting to think that if they were right they'd just take us to court but every week they offer something else which they always get the same response to, send us a proper bill and we will pay it. Are TNC & Eon wrong or am I? At no point have they said we can pay monthly to clear it, which I think they should as its them that didn't bill us although I do accept (not that I have told them!!) that we should have chased up to see why we weren't being billed by anyone.
HEEELLLPPP!!

Hi SARAHWILSON,
I think the crux of the problem is that E.ON weren’t notified of a change of occupant at this address, and this is why you didn’t receive any bills.
Essentially responsibility to notify an energy supplier of a change of tenancy/ownership lies with the customer; this is relevant for both business accounts and domestic accounts.
As we weren’t aware of a change of tenancy, a contract wouldn’t have been agreed so it sounds like you may have been billed for this period on out of contract rates, and these are usually higher than those you’d pay on an agreed contract.
I’d expect a payment arrangement to be agreed with regard to the balance, as soon as an arrangement is made letters and demands from TNC will cease.
