sony ps3 faulty goods help

hello all,

i have a sony ps3 that has gone wrong basicly it wont work . i have been on the phone to sony help line who say that because its out of it warrnty i wiil need to pay £120 for a replacement . now this is the second ps3 i have had the first one i bought from argos in jan08 this broke and was replaced free of charge by sony this was in april 08 it had a twelve month warrnty on it which has since expired hence the £120 replacement fee .
i have phoned trading standards on the matter and they have told me that the fault lies with argos not sony . end of the day i want a replacement ps3 but i dont want to pay a fee of £120 to get it . the nice chap at TS said this comes under the SALE OF GOODS ACT 1979 and the ps3 is of not of satisfactory quility and there for arogs is at fault and should replace the item . i just feel im gonna get phobbed off on this one can anyone help with regards to who i should speak too regarding argos.

    Your contract is with Argos, so it's them you need to pester.

    Unfortunately Argos aren't good at this sort of thing, so you will need to ask to speak to the manager and be persistant.
    Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
