Account keeps logging off

I recently added another user account (grandson) to my PC. Ever since, if I leave the PC unattended for say 10 minutes, I get logged out. I then have to lg back in again. Is this normal?

Your screensave is kicking in after 10mins?

If so go to your screensaver settings and untick the click box that requires you to login when you return to your computer after the screensave cuts in

davester, thank you for the reply. Sorry to be a thicko but can you give me an idea how to do as you suggest? Do I go to Control Panel?

Control Panel then Display. There is a screensaver tab across the top when you go into display, go into there and then next to the Wait [10] Minutes box, there is a checkbox for the password entry. Make sure it is unticked and click OK.

Or you can right click on the desktop (an empty bit) when you have closed/minimised all your windows. Go to properties and that opens the Display box.

Assuming Windows XP but Vista is likely to be similar.

Sorry I have taken so long to report back, I've been up a ladder cleaning windows!

I think it has worked, although I have only just come in and onto the PC.

    Thanks again, both.

:rotfl:Ccleaner would have been much quicker. I installed it and run it and cleaned my windows in 3 mins.:rotfl:
