Burtons Clothes Getting Smaller??

Options
Are the clothes in Burtons getting smaller?

In May I bought some shirts in there for my holiday and got XL which were still a little big but I felt more comfortable than the Large.

These shirts still fit me and I have lost a little weight since May (only 8lbs but it all counts).

I have been to get a shirt for a wedding i'm going to on Wednesday and none of the Large stuff I tried on went anywhere near me so I tried XL and they were very tight so I tried XXL and they only just fit me.

I ended up leaving it and getting a shirt from Next which is only a Large and fits perfectly.

Has anyone else found this problem with Burtons? It seems their clothes are getting smaller and I know i'm not getting bigger :D

  • Different suppliers probably have different sizing standards.

Probably depends on the fit and style of the clothes as well?

Burton clothes are smaller. I can vouch for that. Since Littlewoods Direct became Very they have gone smaller. I ordered one size which was too small so sent it back and got the next size which was too small and finally had to get the next size up. So I ended up having to get two sizes bigger than the rest of my clothes are?! TIt was the same for two "different" brands by Very!
  • It's an annoyance us girls have had to put up with for many years. I have clothes in my wardrobe from size 12 to size 18 that I wear regularly, which all look roughly the same dimensions.
