  • Browsing these boards constantly when I feel 'down' about being skint really helps me stay on track!
Or if I'm about to go out and spend, I come on here first and this re-affirms my goals in my head which makes me more conscious when I go out and helps me spend less :)
I'm so glad I have these boards!

I have £5 left to my name until pay day which is on Thursday and quarter of a tank of diesel, so that should be okay if I drive economically and eat at home and at the boyfriends house.

I still manage to go out and enjoy myself, the only thing that costs me is diesel.

I've got to go out Thursday (a friends leaving 'do for uni), Friday (a house party, got to go to hold a friends hand) and Saturday because I promised a friend ages ago.

I have an action plan to avoid over spending though! which is:

Thursday: Go out as late as possible (will probably be about half 9) taxi share in, and get a lift back, drink cheap drinks in wetherspoons first and don't drink after wetherspoons, take membership card so I get in club for free and get a free drink!

Friday: Take bottle of wine already in fridge and walk back

Saturday: Late as possible in (Around half 10) drink before, only 2-3 drinks in, put name on guest list so I enter the club for free.

And then I'm not going out at all between then and my holiday, so that should be fine.

I also haven't mentioned that my boyfriend owes me £500 which I've agreed he can pay me when he gets his tax rebate from getting emergency taxed.
That is going straight into my A&L account, unless I've paid it off by then, in which case it'll pay off my Next bill and then the rest will go into my high interest saver for a few months so by the time I've paid the loan off I can pay my Lloyds Overdraft off in one fail swoop!

  • Done 11 reviews on DooYoo and got over 100 ratings already!
I've earned around £7.50 on there so far, but need to earn £50 before I can cash it in, when I do get my first cheque from dooyoo it's going straight in the A&L overdraft to help pay it off!
Going to review absolutely everything I see/use/taste/smell/do to make money.
Keep reading others reviews and giving them positive reviews for good karma.
I'm limited to 5 reviews per day though until I've been a member 30 days, but I'm just gonna keep on going!

  • So...
Sorry I've not been updating, I've been away from my home PC for a few days!

Got paid today, have budgeted my money accordingly!
I've began to realise this paying off debt business is going to be a slow and labourous process which will take a few months.
With this in mind I aim to be debt free by March 2010.
(Apart from my loan which will come out as usual every month until June)

This is so I can move out ASAP, and pay off as much as possible.

I now have around £10 in my virtual sealed pot, I'll see how much else I can add to that by the end of this month (or just before I go on holiday more like!).
I've earned almost £12 on DooYoo!
My change tin is growing by the day!
And I have £4 in £2 coins as I've started to collect them as well.

Paid off some more NEXT but have had to purchase my bikinis on there so my balance is probably about £110 to pay now...
But it is under control, I plan to pay a chunk off next month!

Am paying £40 into my A&L account which should bring me to like £210ish OD.

And obviously the virtual sealed pot will be opened in a couple of months and go towards whatever debt I see fit!

I plan to spend between now and November trying to accumulate as much money as possible in as many different ways to help me over Christmas so I don't over-spend and so I can hopefully still continue to pay some debt off!

    Baby steps baby steps!

    Wish me luck anyways!
