Hi All,
Upon your advice last week, I've ordered 3GB of RAM and it's just arrived this morning.
Would you recommend I do a backup of all important docs and stuff before installing or is it not needed because I'm not messing with the hard drive?
Thanks

It's up to you but I wouldn't bother as the chances of screwing anything up are very slight.
That said I keep all my important stuff on a NAS RAID

When did you last "backup of all important docs and stuff " then?
You should be backing up regularly anyway but it has no connection to installing more RAM. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

The 2 are separate. However, it won't hurt to do it in the interests of housekeeping, especially if you have any important documents in the last 2 months
