which satnav for ireland ?

we are touring the uk and ireland this summer and wanted to buy a sat nav system to cover both.i have looked at the garmin and tom tom systems but they only seem to cover northern ireland and not the south even with the european maps.
is this correct, or am i just miss-reading the info on the web sites.
can anyone reccomend a system that does cover all of ireland.

    Ireland one of them place'sthat has just been maped by Navteq annd it mite take time for the maps to get to sat nav's,,
    according to http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/ the AA Navigator 2006 includes FULL coverage of Ireland
    there or their,one day i might us the right one ,until then tuff
