Baby on a budget

I have to say I did need a buggy for my babies as my back was painful post birth.Although I did and still do use a sling for inside shops/housework etc!
Muslin cloths I found completely useless. For wiping spills- wet wipes, for bibs-bibs, and for emergency nappies -buy some from nearest shop! I have given all those I bought to MIL for jam making!
I have had great bargains with baby bundles from ebay, just search for sellers nearest to you, then collect-this was a bit embarassing when i won 10 tops for 99p though-i felt i should give seller more!
I found BFeeding both my babies unsucessful, as they were always hungry and screaming for food. I ended up mixing few formula feeds in which did make things a little cheaper than going entirely to formula, plus the boob is great for pacifying colicky baby. I managed to BFeed for 6 months using that method. Oh, and my top tip for cheap breast pads? USE SANITARY TOWELS!! 16p for basic range is much cheaper than 10p per breastpad.
I agree about car boots, brilliant! I got a baby gym for £2.50 RRP £39!
Good luck!

Can I also suggest that you start reading the MSE Parents Club no 6... there are lots of mums (and some dads) on ther with LO's of varying ages and we are all willing to answer any questions we can plus sharing tips etc...
